Safety Center

What we do before you ever say hello

  • Live identity check. Every member records a short live selfie scan with movement prompts, matched against their photos. A saved picture or a video of a screen does not pass, so the person in the photos is the person in the chat. The frames are kept privately for safety review only, never shown on your profile, and we do not build a face template or use them to identify you anywhere else. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
  • Screening before sending. Messages and photos are checked before anyone sees them. Held content is invisible to the other person.
  • Contact details stay put. Numbers, handles, and links are held until a thread unblurs at 15 messages and the Real-World Bridge is unlocked, which is exactly the window scammers try to rush you through.
  • Human review. Flagged content goes to a person, and enforcement decisions are logged.

Tools you control

  • Block removes someone from your Discover, your rooms, and your inbox, in both directions, with no notice to them.
  • Report is one tap from any thread, any photo, and any lounge member's mini-profile.
  • Unmatch ends a thread and asks you to confirm, so it never happens by accident.
  • Date check-in creates a plan you can send a friend: where you are going, when, and who with. They get a link, not an account.
  • Blurred photos mean nobody sees you clearly until a real conversation happened.

Before you meet someone

  • Talk in the app first. The unblur exists so you have something to go on.
  • Meet somewhere public, in daylight if you can, and arrange your own transportation both ways.
  • Tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be back. Use the date check-in.
  • Keep your phone charged and your drink with you.
  • Leave whenever you want. You do not owe anyone the rest of the evening.

Signs to walk away from

  • Pushing hard to move to text, an app, or email right away.
  • Any mention of money, gift cards, crypto, or an investment opportunity.
  • A story that keeps escalating: an emergency, a stuck paycheck, a customs fee.
  • Refusing a video call while claiming to be local.
  • Asking for explicit photos early, or sending them unprompted.
  • Pressure, guilt, or anger when you set a boundary.

None of these are rude to refuse. Report the account and block it, and we will look at the conversation.

What we do not do

We confirm that a member is a real, live person who matches their photos. We do not run criminal background checks, and verification is not a character reference. Meeting anyone offline carries real risk that we cannot remove, which is why the tools above exist.

Zero tolerance, and the child-safety line

Sexual content involving a minor results in immediate removal, preservation of the evidence, and a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as federal law requires. Details are in the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Service.

Getting help

If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first. Then write to admin@vibevoli.com with what happened and any names or dates you remember. In the United States you can reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 and RAINN at 1-800-656-4673, both free and confidential.
